Michael Cawston

Mike Profile PicNickname(s):  “Mike”, “Bale” and “Cheese”

Supports:  West Ham United

Job:  Sustainable Travel Information Officer at Essex County Council

Interests & hobbies: My favourite pastimes are playing and watching football, recycling jokes until they are no longer funny, moaning, picking up bookings (mostly for moaning), and dodging paying for rounds.

Favourite Film:  When Saturday Comes. It stars my favourite actor of all time, Sean Bean, and depicts his epic quest to play for my second favourite football team, Sheffield United.

Favourite Food:  Cheese

Favourite Music:  I’m a big fan of acts that have hit fame through reality TV competitions, such as Olly Murs, Leona Lewis and more recently Little Mix. My favourite song ever is definitely “Dancing Queen” by ABBA, although Geri Halliwell’s 2001 cover of “It’s Raining Men” is a close second.

Favourite Footballer:  Kevin Nolan – I model my own game on his style of play, particularly his work rate and mobility.

I’m most looking forward to:  Having 92 hours to spend some quality time with my amazing brother Matt. I miss him loads now that we no longer live together so it’ll be great to be able to have some ‘us time’ like the good old days.

I’m not looking forward to:  Being stuck in a car having to endure Tony’s horrendous flatulence following his bank holiday weekend diet of beer and meat.

Scuzz said about Mike: “Mike is a top man and this challenge is already bringing out the best in him. He’s really got in to the team spirit of the challenge; evidenced recently when he actually bought a round for us!”

Anthony Harold Baker

Favourite Food:  My favourite food is Domino’s pizza but only when it has sat on the living room table for 10 hours.

Favourite Music:  My favourite song is Good Vibrations.

Favourite Footballer:  I’ve always been a massive fan of Kyle Naughton. I don’t think there is anyone better at kicking the ball into touch or getting beaten by the winger. Top Class!

I’m most looking forward to:  Listening to Mike’s music for 92 hours!

I’m not looking forward to:  Being stuck in a car with Mike going on about how West Ham won the World Cup for 92 hours

Smithy said about Tony:  “Tone is a determined guy and I know he is going to face this challenge head on. He’s worked extremely hard to raise the dough for this challenge. Is it a challenge Tone can complete? COURSE IT IS!!!”

Matt Cawston

image1Nickname(s):  “Betsy”, “Benchpress Betsy” and  “Sirius Bets”

Supports:  Newcastle United

Job:  Biddable Executive – MediaCom

Interests & hobbies:  Doing what Rosie tells me to do. Drinking Champagne. Wearing Bow Ties.

I’m most looking forward to:  Visiting the home of football, The Stadium of Light.

I’m not looking forward to:  Being away from Rosie for more than ten minutes.

Mike said about Matt:  “Betsy, born in Barking and into a family of West Ham United fans is well known for the world’s worst attempt at glory hunting in the history of English football. With Newcastle leading Manchester United by 12 points shortly after Christmas in the 1995/96 season, Bets decided that he no longer wanted to follow the careers of the likes of Tim Breaker, Steve Potts and Ludek Miklosko. He became a plastic 9 year old Geordie, and watched on helplessly as Eric Cantona and co. clawed back the 12 point deficit and won the league by 4 points. In fairness to him he has followed them through thin and thinner ever since.”
